Nurul Atiqah Khir

... is one of the greatest people I have in my life. The first time I saw her, 7 years ago, it never crossed my mind that she would somehow be the sister I have never had. In fact, I thought she was a bimbo. Clad with a Barbie knapsack and pink ribbons all over her hair during her first day in class, it was pretty easy to assume that she was a bimbo. (I liked Barbies myself, but I never really called myself a bimbo because... well, who would label themselves as bimbos? lol)

But I grew fonder of her as time passed by. I started seeing the beauty within her and the fact that we had a lot of things in common. We both had a fetish for Barbies. We loved Britney Spears and have had thoughts about marrying Ken a.k.a. Barbie's boyfriend who doesn't have a "woohooo" down there (Ok, out of topic)

The two of us are extremely close, that once, there was a rumour spreading like wild fire in school saying that the two of us were dating! We figured it would be hilarious to just go with the flow, so, whenever the two of us were together, we were holding hands. Man, I can still remember their faces. Priceless.

People kept assuming that our relationship would deteriorate when I moved to another school in 2009. There was even a girl who said that we would drift so far apart, that we won't even recognise each other in the future. Obviously, they were wrong ;)

The funny thing about our relationship is that she seeks me for advice about her love life. ME, who has no clue about maintaining a steady boy-girl relationship. And she claims that I am good at it. I don't know whether to be flattered or lonely (Because I give advice about love when I have never even been in a relationship with a guy) with that statement.

Atiqah has always been a gem of a girl. She's caring, she's kind, she's everything you seek for in a best friend. I love her with all my heart and nothing in the world is going to change that.

Who is your Atiqah? :)
